Sing-along books that your kids will love …

Kids love music, it is just a fact. However I love to read and I want to share that love of reading with my children. To do that, we found some books that incorporate both fun songs and great stories. here are a few of my favorites:

ON TOP OF SPAGHETTI BY PAUL BRETT JOHNSON
Sung to the tune of «On Top of Old Smokey», this children’s book follows the adventures of a roving meatball, escaping the clutches of a chef that sprinkled on a little too much pepper.

LITTLE BUNNY FOO FOO: TOLD AND SUNG BY THE GOOD FAIRY BY PAUL BRETT JOHNSON
If bopping field mice on the head sounds like something your child would love to get away with, then this fun book is for them.

DOWN BY THE BAY BY RAFFI
Even I can’t get this song out of my head. When a small child goes down by the bay where the watermelon grows, he finds more than he bargained for.

CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM BY BILL MARTIN JR
Full of bright colors and basic shapes, this is a great book to cover the alphabet with young children.

Get kids up and moving, practice their reading skills, and bond with them over some of your favorite songs.

WAYS TO SPOT BAD PARENTING

While I’m sure every preceding generation says this about the next, poor parenting choices seem to be a major problem today, and there are so many ways to spot bad parenting! glad i I found this

PHYSICAL ABUSE
If you see someone hitting their child, pulling their hair, shoving them, or any other rough movements, there is a great chance that physical abuse is going on.

EMOTIONAL ABUSE
Many people think that emotional abuse is not as serious as physical abuse, but the truth is that emotional abuse can be far worse than physical in some ways.

OVER-PROTECTION
This is the other extreme, the opposite of neglect. You shouldn’t ignore your children, but you shouldn’t be over-protective either.

FAVORITISM
If you see this in a friend’s household, it’s not a bad idea to find a tactful way to ask about it; some parents may not realize they’re doing it!

NEGLECT
I know that one of the first ways to spot bad parenting is if the parent is completely ignoring the child, and not meeting their basic needs.

How to thank your Parents

Your parents have done a lot for you. They may not be the best parents in the world, but they did try their best to give you the best they could. Here are 7 ways to thank your parents.

VISIT THEM
If you don’t live with your parents, chances are that you don’t get to visit them very often. Everybody’s life is hectic, but takes the time to go visit them and really talk to them.

REACH OUT TO THEM
If you are not very close to your parents, reach out to them. Use gratitude as an excuse to re-enter and become a part of their lives.

DON’T WAIT FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS
There are other occasions like their birthdays and anniversaries when it is easy to say thank you. But, not waiting for those occasions and saying the right words when the time is right is more important.

PUT IT IN WRITING
If words don’t seem to come out right when you are talking to your parents, put it all down in writing.

JUST SAY ‘THANK YOU’
Although this seems like the most obvious of all ways to thank your parents and sounds like the easiest thing in the world to do, it is not as easy as it sounds. On a side note, if you are in need of usb promotional items please do pm me.
